CALL FOR ENTRIES - UNTIL JANUARY 21, 2012:We are currently accepting entries for our upcoming February 2012 Black History Month Art Exhibit, which is being held in Moline Public Library's Reher Art Gallery (3210 41st Street, Moline, IL 61265). Our theme is "Black Women in American History & Culture." Both youth (12-18 years) and adults are welcome to participate. The entry deadline is Saturday, January 21st. Artwork is being accepted in any medium, but must be related to our theme. Participation prizes will be awarded to all youth. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to speak about their artwork at our Black History Program/Reception which is being held in the Moline Public Library's Gold/Silver rooms on Saturday, February 18, 2012. BLACK HISTORY RECEPTION/PROGRAM - FEBRUARY 18, 2012:In honor of Black History Month, we are hosting a Black History Reception/Program in the Moline Public Library's Gold/Silver rooms (3210 41st Street, Moline, IL 61265) on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 11:30-1:00PM.
This is a community celebration. We welcome your involvement and participation. We would love to showcase your music, poetry or other type of performance related to the National Black History Month theme of "Black Women in American History and Culture".
